The Columbus Variant and Columbus Carbon Fiber have excellent access—from either side or from the rear. The internal gas rams effortlessly open the tent in seconds. Packing the tent for travel is just as fast and easy. Bedding is carried in place, so there is nothing to do except open the latch, give the tent top a gentle push, unzip the doors, set up the ladder, and get comfortable.
The Columbus is built on an internal sub-frame incorporating an insulating foam sandwich construction. The subframe is strong and light and they mount directly to standard roof rack cross bars, such as Thule or Yakima. This foam sandwich construction insulates the tent and minimizes condensation under the mattress.
All AutoHome roof top tents are supplied ready for use right out of the box—just mount to your standard roof rack cross bars, add bedding, and go!

Tent pick-up pricing at Defenders Northwest Gig Harbor retail location includes up to 1-hour of installation assistance, unpacking, and disposal of the shipping crate & packing material.

Shipping pricing to a commercial address in the Continental USA is for freight, and insurance to a business with a forklift or loading dock

Shipping pricing to a Residential address in the Continental USA includes freight, insurance and outside home delivery on residential routes requiring lift-gate services

Special Order tents are made to order and may have a lead time of 6 to 12 weeks, plus ocean transit time of 6 to 12 weeks, and are non refundable.
Autohome USA Guarantee of Satisfaction
We stand behind our products! We want your tent to be right for you. If, within 30 days of purchase, you wish to return or exchange your tent for any reason, we will exchange it for another model or refund your money - less a 20% restocking fee. The tent must be received in new, merchantable condition.
This guarantee of satisfaction does not include charges for shipping, crating, or additional charges for upgrading to a higher priced model.
Autohome USA Warranty
Your AutoHome tent is warranted for the original purchaser against defects in material and manufacturing for five years from the date of original purchase. AutoHomeUSA will repair or replace, at its option, any defects during the warranty period. This warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear, or to damage or cosmetic blemishes sustained during use. In the event that the tent must be returned to our repair facility for inspection and repair/replacement, owner must assume the cost and liability of freight. Proof of purchase date and serial number of the tent will be required. This warranty does not include charges for shipping, crating, or taxes
